On the 4th day of December, 2009, the Director of the Institute of Water Management, Prof. Givi Gavardashvili had a meeting in the Embassy of Norway in Baku with the Ambassador of Norway Jon Ramber and the First Secretary of the Embassy Mr. Lars Ragnar Alerud Hansen

December 2-7, 2009, the Director of the Institute of Water Management, Prof. Givi Gavardashvili paid a visit to Baku, Azerbaijan regarding the implementation of Grant Project (No GNSF/STO7-257) “Measures to Mitigate Damages and to Avoid Accidents of Hydraulic Structures”

On the 4th day of December, 2009, the Director of the Institute of Water Management, Prof. Givi Gavardashvili had a meeting in the Embassy of Norway in Baku with the Ambassador of Norway Jon Ramber and the First Secretary of the Embassy Mr. Lars Ragnar Alerud Hansen. They considered possible scientific collaboration and share of experience between the Institute of Water Management and Norway regarding the surveys on environmental protection and exchange of young scientists.

The meeting prolonged 2 hours. It was decided to develop collaboration between non-governmental organizations of two countries regarding the education for environmental protection and to introduce the results obtained within the framework of grant in the region of the Southern Caucasus under the patronage of Norway.

Prof. Givi Gavardashvili called the Ambassador of Norway to visit the Institute, officially. He agreed with pleasure and said that he will inform the date of his arrival additionally.
