On the 10-13th days of July, 2008, the International Forum
was performed under the aegis of the International Scientific Academy (MAAH)
and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) – to perform appropriate measures
for establishment of the International Scientific Centre for Surveys of
mountainous flows (Disasters, Risk, Prediction and Protection). There was
considered a question to establish the International Centre in Southern
Caucasus on the base of the Institute
of Water Management,
which would study mountainous flows: disasters, risks, prediction and
protection.
On the 1-3rd days of October, 2008, Bishkek
(Kyrgyzstan), the International Forum was performed under the aegis of the
International Academy of Sciences (MAAH) regarding the establishment of the
International Scientific Centre for Surveys of mountainous flows (Disasters,
Risk, Prediction and Protection) on the base of the Institute of Water
Management.
